Solidarity Rally at the Governor's Mansion
1716 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston, WV 25305
As our local committee and the International continue with effects bargaining with Viatris, we are also taking the fight for our facility to the streets this coming week.
On Tuesday, June 8, at 8:00 A.M. we will be meeting at 75 Retail Cir., Morgantown, WV 26508 (Walmart) and taking a bus to the Governor’s Mansion in Charleston for a solidarity rally. Please park in the lot by Denny's.
We will begin the event outside the Capitol building at 10:30 A.M. and will be joined by state AFL-CIO leaders, other labor union members, and several state House delegates who agree that the governor and legislators can be doing more to save our jobs.
Signs and lunch will be provided for attendees, and we will depart back to Morgantown around 3:30 P.M. (For those not taking the bus, plan to meet outside the Governor’s Mansion at 1716 Kanawha Blvd E at 10:30 A.M.)
Make sure to contact the local at (304) 291-6688 to reserve a seat on the bus if you haven’t already.
Our jobs and our community are worth fighting for. This is why it’s so important to raise our voices and tell our story to the press, to politicians, and to the public.
